Survivor – Dec 8 – pre-episode chat

So Survivor doesn’t air for a few more days (and remember the new, earlier timeslot – 7.30-8.30pm on Go), but I wanted to share this pic of Jeff from the CBS Survivor Twitter page.

Immunity necklaces for everyone!

Who’s looking good at the moment (besides airbrushed Jeff)?
I’m thinking David, Jay and possibly Hannah or Ken for the No. 3 spot (yes, despite Ken’s horrible actions last week). Bret and Sunday have barely made the edit so it’s unlikely either of them is the winner – although Michelle was a surprise winner last season, apparently on the back of a strong social game of which we barely had an inkling.
And here’s Zeke’s Ponderosa video, if you haven’t already watched:

Survivor – Dec 1 – new timeslot

It’s hard to imagine tonight’s Survivor could top the shenanigans of last week’s double, but we can only hope. Will it be Team David V Team Zeke or will someone break away for a sneak attack?
Here’s a preview of tonight’s challenge:

And, remember, Survivor moves to Go! channel tonight, with a decent timeslot of 7:30-8:30pm. But Nine often uploads it to the website in the afternoon if you are home and wish to stream it.

US Survivor catch-up

Finally, a bit of good news on the US Survivor front. While Channel 9 is not screening the premiere of Survivor: Millennials versus Gen X until this Thursday (a whole week after the US screening), it will play catch up the following week, showing eps 2 and 3 back to back.
The premiere this Thursday is due to air 10.30pm-midnight, but it’s on after The Footy Show which will no doubt run over, so set your recorders late.
If any of you have not seen US Survivor before but are converts to Australian Survivor I’ll be interested to see what you think of the original.
It’s still being doubled by The Block in the ratings.

I haven’t recapped MvGenX as I didn’t want to spoil it for those waiting for free to air, but if you want to read about it, Dalton Ross at ew.com is the Survivor recap guru, gets to go on location and then interviews Jeff Probst after each episode.

US Survivor update

Survivor: Millennials versus Gen X screens in the US in a few hours but, unfortunately, Channel 9 has decided not to air the show for a whole week, which is, frankly, infuriating.
For the past few years they’ve fast-tracked US Survivor on Go at about 8.30pm but now they are screening it on the main channel, and not until 10.30pm at night.
Which just means super fans will pirate it and there’s little chance of newbies who’ve enjoyed Australian Survivor on Ten accidentally stumbling across it.
