Australian Survivor All Stars finale

Well, here we are already. Noooo! What will distract us from our self-isolation?

We are down to the Golden God, Moana and Sharn.

Who’d have thought that Dave would have lasted this long … I know the rest of the cast did not see his whole season but they had seen enough to know what he was capable of.

GG

GG should win the final challenge (the usual endurance one of standing In a painful position until you can’t hack it). But stranger things have happened – remember the moment Lee fell and Kristie won the challenge after six hours? It was a heart-stopping moment.

Who do you WANT to win and who do you think WILL win?

The finale screens at 7.30pm on Ten with the reunion show at 9.30pm.

Australian Survivor: penultimate episode

How can this be the second last ep? What are we going to watch to distract us when Coronavirus is in full swing over the next few months?
Finale is Monday night with reunion show hosted by Osher afterwards.

Don’t miss the Jury Villa episodes on TenPlay. (They call them Ponderosa videos in the US version.)

Australian Survivor All Stars premiere

All Stars starts Monday on Ten at 7.30pm with an extended episode – 105 minutes. And the Tues and Wed eps go for 90 minutes.
So that’s the rest of my life cancelled for the week.
Who are you most looking forward to seeing?
I appreciate David’s brand of cockiness because he is very self aware and knows how to entertain.
I am very interested to see how the past winners are treated. Hopefully Jericho will again be underestimated by some of the alphas – if he could team up with David given their Luke connection, that would be awesome.

Australian Survivor All Stars cast

Australian Survivor: All Stars starts on a Sun, Feb 2.
The full cast has yet to be released but most names are out, including two winners, several alphas, some strategists, some alpha strategists and one “character”.
Here’s who’s “in” this far. Anyone else you really want to see? We know Luke is a no go.

Nick, Adelaide English teacher, cast as “The Snake” on the Mateship season, AKA season 1

Shane Gould, Olympic swimmer, winner of Champions V Contenders 1. Catchphrase: “Don’t F—- with Shane Gould”

Phoebe. Lawyer from S1. Smart. Dangerous. They should vote her out, stat.

Flick (Felicity). Made it far in S1 and blindsided BFF Brooke.

Brooke. Big threat in endurance/balance changes. Also a social threat. Was blindsided by BFF Flick in S1.

AK (Aaron). DJ from Adelaide. Made a horrible first impression in Season 2 by playing too hard too early. Created world’s worst fake idol “chicken idol”. (Ok, Ozzy’s stick was worse.) Entertaining to watch.

David. Model. Golden God. Destroyer of popcorn. Master of sarong drapage. Physical threat and lives to play the villain. The biggest breakout character of CvC2 and Luke’s BFF that season.

Jericho. Flight attendant. Winner
S2 in part thanks to tight alliance with Luke. The Cookie Monster. Social threat.

Henry. From Adelaide. S2 contestant who pretended to be a yoga instructor. Tried to be a villain. Entertaining.

Tarzan (Mark). S2 casting director’s attempt at getting a Rupert. Not particularly interested in playing the game.

Locky. Adventure guide. S2 alpha who went on immunity run near end. Strong but not super strategic. Could be a good meat shield.

Lydia. Winter Olympic skier. Biggest challenge beast in Survivor AU history. Played in CVC1. No strategy but mad abs.

Harry. Ice cream vendor who has a bunch if side hustles. Talked a big game about being a villain in CVC2 but did not really act like one. Pretended for a while to have a fake son, Oscar, but fessed up when confronted by Ross. Could go under the radar.

Mat Rogers. Footy champion. Big physical threat and led a champions alliance in CVC1. Got too cocky and went home with an idol.

Jacqui. Celebrant. In S2 Henry tried to do a Malcolm and Denise with her but they were busted. She did not go far in the game and could have been cast for All Stars because other women were not available.

Which S1 players should be in All Stars?

How many of you watched Season 1 of Survivor (the Channel Ten one, that is?). Who would you like to see return for All Stars? Or who do you think Ten would want back?

Back in 2016.

Des Quilty
Big “Aussie” country character with good survival skills. Abrupt manner saw him voted out

Bianca Anderson
Lied about being a PI. Not trusted early.

Evan Jones
Strangely decided to lie about being a drama teacher. Big fan of Survivor which was likely his downfall.

Peter Fiegehen
The guy in the colourful suit. Fiegs was unwell since he hit the beach but tribe refused to vote him out due to likeability and alliance implications. Had to quit.

Barry Lea
Dreadlocks. Well liked but annoyed everyone by picking names out of a hat. Unpredictability a liability.

Tegan Haining
Model, trainer. Ummmmm.

Rohan MacLaren
Model; dropped idol clue to be found by another, not a fan of show

Katherine “Kat” Dumont
An early target. Wore big, cool hat. Not so cool leopard print shawl.

Andrew Torrens
Happy to play villain role to camera but it never really played out that way. Wore fedora.

Craig I’Anson
Challenge beast, witty and great TV.

Phoebe Timmins
Smart strategic player, drew a bad hand in a non-vote tribal.

Conner Bethune
Student

Kate Campbell
Amazing personal survival back story; not strategic

Nick Iadanza
Adelaide’s own snake, hampered by trying to play a US Survivor game in a season full of non-fans and this not being trusted. Good at puzzles. Went on to host RHAP’s Australian Auevuvir coverage until birth of first child.

Kylie Evans
Tough firefighter, not strategic.

Sue Clarke (can we please stop making jokes about waiting for Sue’s Big Move)

Jennah-Louise Salkeld
JL, got a purple edit despite others saying afterwards she was a good player

Brooke Jowett
Often wore a floppy black hat, good at endurance challenges, part of “mean girls alliance”. A threat

Sam Webb (brother of that MAFS guy with a neck as wide as his head). Not strategic

Matt Tarrant (takented magician). We waited for him to flip and it never happened. Wore Port Adelaide gear and black ripped jeans. Liked chicken nuggets. Is the butt of many jokes made by the official Australian Survivor twitter account and responds in kind.

Felicity “Flick” Egginton part of “mean girls” alliance. Passionate about Survivor

Elena “El” Rowland part of mateship alliance. She and Lee later dated. Physically strong but had a purple edit

Lee Carseldine (the cricketer) (runner up). Head of mateship alliance which drove long-time fans barmy. Good at challenges requiring physical strength and hand-eye coordination

Kristie Bennett (winner)
pigtails, won epic final three endurance challenge despite being underdog not perceived as physical threat. Good final tribal performance. Won on basis of personal growth and overcoming adversity
